Had my baby 12/26 at 31 weeks!
December 26th started off uneventful but lead to painful contractions at 2pm..trying to power through them😖. Waking my husband up from a nap screaming, rushing my kids to get in the car screaming walking to the car, my water breaking in the Car 🚘 💦, thinking that I was really about to have a baby at the Eastlake fire station🙄. To bleeding out in the ambulance! The EMTS I had were AWESOME and they tried their best to get me to the hospital but St.Vincent’s didn’t have anyone who could deliver my baby😤🤬. Came on home to UAB (where I should’ve been from the beginning) where a doctor checked me and had to literally hold my baby in with his hands because he was transverse (sideways) with his arm and hand coming out. I woke up on a VENTILATOR confused because last thing I want is to be on a vent. I got very lucky and had a good therapist since I couldn’t have myself lol. So after being on a Ventilator, an emergency C-section, multiple blood transfusions and being on the brink of death I’m convinced that I wouldn’t have made it through without my wonderful husband and my UAB colleagues taking care of me every step of the way!! This has been a CRAZY past 2 days but say hello to 🚨Jackson . Weighing in at 3lbs 13oz and 17 inches long!
