Its a rumor with my family that my aunt isnt actually my grandpas kid. Like my grandma and grandpa werent completely steady at the time and she had like 3 boyfriends. My Grandma always responds to these questions with "but i only was being intimate with grandpa at the time" (shes french and very open about anything sexual). Grandpa says it wouldn't have mattered either way.

Part of the rumor is because my Aunt is a bright redhead and one of grandmas boyfriends was also a redhead...

I learned tonight.that the gene mutation that can cause red hair is often the same one as the one that makes people unable to use the caines (novacaine, lidocaine etc).

My grandpa and several members of our family (including my aunt and myself) have this issue of novacaine not working for us. At all.

So if my grandpa has this. And my aunt has this. And red hair is closely associated with this.... even if there's never been red hair in his family could I have just proved to myself that the rumors are BS?

My aunt does not want a DNA test because these rumors only started as an adult and she doesn't care if she was a mermaid pulled from the sea because thatd still be her dad anyway. I just feel like brain blown like i might have unlocked something.
