I need advice. My main career choice is to be a counselor for first responders with a specialty in PTSD. Or be a victims advocate for victims of crime or other issues. I really want to go to Tarelton state but they don’t have SW online. So I was going to get my B.S is psych and minor in criminal justice online since they offer CJ and psych online at Tarelton.

My sister told me not to do that because it will take a lot longer when it comes time to get my MSW. That is what she did and she said that she knows more about psychology than sw and that it took her longer know that she is going back to school for her MSW. But she also has 2 kids and took a break from school. Where I have one kid and haven’t taken a break.

My other option is just go to the University of Texas Arlington and just go straight to BSW online. But Arlington is almost 2 hours away. Tarleton is 45 mins away from me.

Any advice on what I should do? Go ahead and do psych and CJ first for my B.S and then go to UTA for my MSW? or just go to UTA for my BSW online to begin with.
