New due date

We were a bit bummed at our US today. We thought I was 8 weeks (based on my last period) but the US showed baby much much smaller so they said I’m probably only about 5 weeks.

Obviously there are a million things worse they could have said, and I’m grateful baby is there and that we have another appointment to hear the heartbeat in 2 weeks. It just made me really sad when the doctor told us “Don’t tell anyone you’re pregnant yet because we still have to confirm the pregnancy is viable.”

I know it’s true and that the risk of miscarriage is higher at 5 weeks than 8 weeks, I was just excited to see baby today and felt a bit let down.

We’re still very happy and excited for baby to come and my husband has been very optimistic the entire time ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
