So what do you guys think?
So I went in at 34+6 for consistent contractions and they did the fFN swab and it came back positive. So they bumped up my 36 week ultrasound to check on his growth. During the scan though, the tech started off measuring the outside of his skull and it measured at 37 weeks. After I mentioned he seemed to be measuring big she slowly whittled it down until she was on the inner part of his skull instead and he measured 36 weeks. Then she turned it off so I couldn’t see what he measured as and I know she took a billion pictures of his stomach until it looked the smallest and then measured on the inside of his stomach and did his legs. By the end of it he was only measuring 2 days ahead of schedule, but it all seemed kinda fishy to me. I just wanted to see if it sounded off to anyone else. I also should add that my due date is based off of my 20 weeks scan only, because I never got a period back after my last baby.
I’m wondering if maybe the ultrasound tech didn’t want to risk saying she was wrong at the other scan? Maybe I’m not preterm at all, but she was worried since I’ve always had steroid shots to develop lungs and everything? It just seemed a bit fishy to me and I wanted to see what others thought. Maybe an ultrasound tech is around that could pipe in? Haha
