I am scheduled for a c-section on 1/10/24 in just four short days. It seems everyone around us is sick, including half of my husband’s coworkers.

I stopped working last week due to the fear of getting sick, as I work with children. I am very close to having my husband take vacation days Monday and Tuesday. I have even contemplated keeping my first grader home from school those days.

Is anyone else crippled with anxiety about contracting something before labor or your newborn getting sick? I keep feeling like I’m overreacting, but nothing is worth my son’s life. January has to be the worst month to give birth.
