Keeping entire pregnancy a secret until birth?

What are your thoughts on this and did anyone on here or someone you know do this? On social media and keeping the pregnancy a secret from family and friends?

Im 36 weeks and 2 days now, i have only told the people i see often (parents and siblings). I havent told anyone else. No aunts/uncles/cousins or even friends. No posting online either. I figured id just announce when she is born lol its been pretty fun! Im excited to tell the world now but will probably wait until she is a few weeks old

I haven’t told any one else. Keeping it a secret even the birth was something I truly wanted to do, but I don’t think it’s ideal for me to do!! This is my first baby! Lol I’m going to tell my mom & MIL once I hit my second trimester! I really just want to wait until I’m big & they just see it themselves & ask & I say yes or something! 🥴🫣

I did. I didn’t even tell my parent until I was 7 months along. I only told my boss ( cause I was high risk and had a lot of doc appts) it was nice. I really go to enjoy my pregnancy this time around because I didn’t want to hear other peoples opinions. We had a loss prior to this at 7 1/2 months and I just really didn’t want to hear anything from anybody else. I enjoyed the time that it was just us. I highly recommend!!

I went 20 weeks without telling anyone. I even posted family pictures and no one knew. It’s been kinda fun having a secret, especially because this is our 5th and reactions to this many kids is.. less than favourable.

I didn’t keep it a secret from family because I got pregnant at 18 and everyone was pissed and talked about it. but my kid is 5 now and I never posted about my pregnancy or my son on social media to this day lmao
