Late period

I haven’t had my period in 5 weeks (35 days) and I took a pregnancy test over the weekend and it came back negative. I lightly spotted and cramped right before/on NYE and I’m on the pill. Also had a weird yellow mustard discharge. Any thoughts? Should I retest?
