I’m sharing my personal experience with the Twirla patch because I started with very little information or experience being given about this specific patch (if anyone just needed an insight for this specific option). The Twirla patch has been a very effective contraceptive for me in the past 9 months and my menstrual cycle has become a lot more regulated and less heavy. Prior to the patch my body expelled 2 copper IUD’s that has caused a variety of issues (physical & mental). The only downside is that the patch does cause some eczema on my patch sight and when starting out this option I had slight nausea. Overall, the Twirla patch has been very reliable and my cycles are always on time & last 3-5 days. This patch contains levonorgestrel & ethinyl estradiol which I change every week for three weeks and have a single off week.
