When is everyone starting to buy things for baby?

I am due 7/6. My anxiety and fear of something going wrong is stressing me out. I am scared to buy things and be stuck with them. I keep thinking if I buy things I will jinx myself into something bad happening.  🥺

I’m the same. I usually start buying the big things around 30+ weeks. If you’re trying to plan financially by spreading the cost over a number of months, I would just open a little savings account and put the amount of money the item costs in that account. That way you’re ready to purchase when you feel more comfortable. ￼

Im 8th of July and this week my friends started to bring things so i let myself to relax a littke and did some shopping for babyclothes. Yes, im also pretty anxious but buying cute clothes made me feel excited about the future.

I've already got children so I'll just be reusing all their things. Maybe buy a few things so they've something all their own and I always knit something special for each new baby.
I lost a baby last year, and having a few baby clothes or something as a reminder wouldn't be a bad thing. You're fairly safe now, and I hope you both stay healthy, but if the worst were to happen, that baby is still part of you, and pretending like it didn't happen won't help you heal. It might even be nice for any future children to be able to use some things you bought for this little one.

I am due 7/21 and I am starting to get things. Just to ease my anxiety I start with stuff like looking at the things I want taking time to add to my registry, thinking about if I want a baby shower or not. 
I just bought a shelf, but that’s just for things that I am given or come across. I would start buying big things at 6 months

I have bought one little sleeper top and I want to start buying packs of wipes and diapers every paycheck. I am due 7/20. With my first it was the diapers and wipes that we just seemed to be running to the store for constantly so this time I’m stocking up.

I am due 7/23, I havent bought anything to big yet, but I’ve finished my registry, and family has purchased keepsake items for us (books, frames, journals) my family and I, used to be concerned about purchasing early for the same reasons, but my father passed in March, and came through to my mother via medium, letting her know he would be sending my spirit baby (my mom did not know I was trying to conceive) I was than pregnant a month or so later, and the time my time was positive, were the numbers he said we should look out for, so with that sentiment, weve all felt more confident to do things earlier. Also, as a therapist, if you send out confidence and security in yourself, your baby and pregnancy, you will get it back! Try purchasing items you wouldn’t be “stuck” with, like wipes, or a blanket! I’m due 7/7 and we’ve already built our little girl’s dresser, high chair, and ordered her crib 💕there’s always a risk in something going wrong, but personally I want to enjoy this pregnancy and have loved beginning to nest and see her things around
