I eat fairly healthy, and I just gorged on an entire PINT of Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food

I feel so disgusted with myself, and just want to take a nap.

pregnancy cravings are wild.

I just need a little encouragement that I’m still a good mamma, because right now I don’t feel good about it.

You ate icecream. Ice cream. It wasnt smoking crack. Youre fine. No one in the history of ever has said "shes a bad mom because she ate ice cream while pregnant"

It’s not like you’re eating a pint for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. You’re allowed to indulge and give in to your pregnancy cravings. It doesn’t make you a bad human or mother. You can still be healthy while enjoying a pint of ice cream.

Not that I wish it on you by any means but it is pregnancy so maybe tomorrow you won’t feel as good so then you’ll be thanking yourself for them extra calories the day before lol! Try not to be hard on yourself and remind yourself that it’s okay to let yourself have what you want sometimes or in this case - you and baby lol 💗 wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy Mama

Sometimes your cravings are what your baby needs, your baby’s brain is made from a sugar/carbohydrate mixture and fat putting it very simply. You don’t have to eat like a rabbit all the time to give your baby what they need. All babies need fat and sugar…. Why do you think most pregnant women crave ice cream? Should this be daily no because diabetes is a real issue and we need to have balance but ice cream pint every now and again doesn’t make you a bad mom. The stress your putting on yourself if probably worse than the ice cream. Just give yourself some grace you’re doing great! Growing a person is hard you deserve a treat! Maybe try also increasing your carbohydrate and good fat intake, then seeing if your cravings are less often. Good fats like DHA, olive oil, avocado, and nuts. You're doing a good job!

You are a good momma! Eating some ice cream once in a while means nothing. It's okay to enjoy desserts. Do not beat yourself up.

Our bodies are pretty great at holding a 'set point' body weight. If this becomes regular for you (an extra 1100 calories everyday for a month) it would be concerning and you would see a change in your weight/health. But a one time occurance is nothing, you body will likely recognize the extra calories as excess since its out of your normal diet and discard them. Pregnancy can be VERY hard on your eating habits and if you think you'll struggle with the extra intake or even not enough intake.at times consider light counseling to help you work through the emotional side! Mama's take on way more than anyone thinks about, your guilt is completely normal but know you've done nothing wrong... just taken care of a very important craving.

I know how you feel! I ate an entire big container- not pint- large container lol of ice cream once with my first pregnancy and felt awful! Give yourself grace, and just continue you on like you have and it will work itself out 💕

Dont feel bad! The last couple of days i feel like baby is going through a growth spurt. I have ate so much more than usual and then go sleep it off lol

With my nausea weirdly enough all I can eat is junk food & baby is thriving!
