My son has always had dry skin. He’s had this rash for a couple weeks now that showering and lotioning seems to do great for but then it comes right back. Going to call the doctor here probably Monday just to double check it’s not anything else. I just took him out of the shower and I swear he’s molting. The skin is just peeling off his hands and feet. I checked the water a couple of times and it definitely was warm but he insisted he liked it like that. I mean he’s 5 he’ll usually mess with the water temp if he doesn’t like it so I wasn’t too concerned it definitely wasn’t melt your skin off hot. Do kids just molt, was it the water. I mean all this can technically wait for when we see his doctor but like if anyone has gone through something similar I wouldn’t mind hearing about it.
