Can you share some breast implant advice?

My consultation for my implants is coming up. Between all the surgery choices (incision placement, under/over muscle, saline/silicone/gummy bear, etc) and aftercare, there is so much info to absorb. Anyone who's had it done care to offer any info/advice? I'm up for any info/advice you have to offer - from surgery prep to buying new bras. Not looking for someone to try to talk me out of it, or any judgement - queens lift up queens :) Thanks ladies!

Have never had them myself as I love my itty bitties but worked in plastic surgery for many many many years. First off...talk you your surgeon and listen. A good surgeon won't push/upsell but rather work with you to.achieve realistic results and will say no when needed. So things like placement Id take their advice because your anatomy is just that yours....and yours could need something others dont or things may/may not work that others could do. But that said.our prqcrice ideally put them nder the pectoral muscle..it gave the most natural look and helps prevent.some post surgery issues years down the.line asthetic wise. For actual implants I'd go silicone or saline both have advantages and disadvantages so again go over with your surgeon about what your ideal results are and whats important and plan with them. The surgeons are our didnt use the textured implants at all because of the added risk of a specfic lymphoma cancer that has been tied to use of them. I'd not recommend them but thats my bias and your surgeon can talk to you more. Google "BIA-ALCL" and you can get some idea of that added risk. Healing varies wildly person to person. Biggest thing is to listen to yoir aftercare instructions to a T and dont do things you've been told not to. Seems logical but the amount of patients we had come back with issues befire being fully healed because they didn't listen to things like gym restrictions, activity restrictions, etc because they felt good was much high than it should be. You'll have drains post surgery and painkillers and bandages/wrappings. You will be very swollen so what they look right after surgery won't be the final look...your breasts will be smaller when the healing goes on and swelling goes away. Pain wise depends on you but shouldn't be unbearable with pain management and the worst is the 1st 2 weeks normally with week 1 being the worst normally. Full healing is usually 6-8 weeks but can vary. Again best thing is to find a good surgeon to partner with who listens, is realistic and doesn't push to sell more/close the deal with upgrades. If you are told you need to decide and sign that day be very very very wary as no place should rush that decision and will understand and encourage you take time to make sure. Hope this helped some.
