Were you disappointed when you found out your baby’s gender ?

I’m seeing more moms on social media admitting that they were disappointed when they found out their baby’s gender. It didn’t really matter to me, but I was sooo happy when I found out she was a girl 😭

This is my 4th pregnancy, and we have 3 girls and I was disappointed for every gender, however, I have never been more thankful for having 3 girls! I love love being a girl mom. I absolutely was so sure that this 4th baby was a girl and was in COMPLETE shock to find out, it’s a boy. I am not necessarily disappointed but there are some things I feel sad about. I knew this was our last baby, regardless of gender, and I do feel sad that he won’t get a brother.

yes ! when i found out i was having my 3rd boy i was very disappointed im on my 4th pregnancy and im having a girl i am very excited so yes it happens

This is our third girl, and I was just as excited as I was with our first girl. My husband was the same. 
We didn’t go into having another baby by hoping for a boy though, so that may have been the reasoning for not being disappointed

Yes, absolutely.. I was super depressed and terrified for a few weeks, as I've never imagined having a baby boy for some reason, and I just don't think I'm gonna do a good enough job and give him the best life he could get. I'm scared of not giving him enough, and not being able to connect with him the same as I think I could with a girl. I'm scared I don't know what to do with a little boy, how to properly take care of him, that I have no experience being a tiny boy, and very little taking care of one as well. I actually have way less experience with girls, but it just feels easier and more natural, I feel more confident I can do that for some reason.. and I absolutely feel like I could have had the exact same reaction to it being a girl 🤷🏼‍♀️
I feel way better now, focusing on other things, like how great it's gonna be to watch my boyfriend with our tiny baby boy, and how it's extremely unlikely I won't love him just the same as I would have loved a little girl once he gets here and I can see and touch him. It's just gonna be a different experience than what I imagined, and resetting my expectations and reality took a sec 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have two girls and 1 boy and desperately wanted to even it out but unfortunately my son still remains the only little man on my side at least. His father had a boy last fall but he doesn’t see his brother very much.
