My boyfriend's brother was murdered at the age of 18 when my boyfriend was 14. My boyfriend feelings are mixed as an adult because his brother regularly bullied, emotionally and physically abused him as a child. His mom holds resentment towards my boyfriend for not being "sad enough" when his brother died and my boyfriend told me he does wish his brother was alive but at that age he was just happy to not go to school with a black eye every day. We were with his parents and they had a tight and his mom said "I wish you had died instead of Jeremy!" His dad told him Jeremy was so easy and he just made their life difficult and how my boyfriend wasn't there for them when he died and just left them when he turned 18. I'm not really sure how to help my boyfriend or how I can help him make amends with his parents. I just want them all to be okay and my boyfriend to be happy.
