Clip or laser lip tie?

Question

My son is 10d old and has a pretty bad cheek tie and a small lip tie. Our insurance covers going to an ENT and getting it clipped with scissors, or I could go to a pediatric dentist and pay about 600-1000 for them to laser them. I’m at a loss as i dont know if laser is better for him and worth the price tag or if getting clipped is the same thing and okay. What did you moms do?

My 9 month old has the same but the risk was way to scary so we chose not to do anything doctor said he most likely will fall and it will undo itself the ent here refuses to do it & only a pediatric dentist 2 hours away would and use the laser but the risk of it going through the lip or cheek seemed to scary my sons pediatrician said shes heard scary stories and has seen it herself and doesnt recommend unless we really want to

I didn’t know that lasering was an option! But I would totally go that route vs scissors. I’ve had a couple of surgeries and the ones where they used laser (scalpels) healed much better and were far less painful.
