Vvfl - early positives!
I am 7 - 9 DPO, and 5 days away from my period being due!
This app tells me 9 days.. but the one I track ovulation with tells me 7 days.. so not sure which to truly rely on but I chose 7dpo
Photos below explanation…
I took the top one (early detection) around 4 am… and the bottom (rapid response) around 8:30pm today - UK time.
First response rapid result showing darker positive line, than the early detection, which makes zero sense as that is supposed to be able to be taken 6 days ‘prior’ to period.
both are also much darker lines in person, but until tonight’s test, I thought I may have line-eyes, with the tests from this morning.
all tests have been read within the correct timings.
The rapid response is not supposed to show anything until the day period is due also.
It feels like the tests in the box may have been accidentally mixed up before packaging (a joke of course)
But I definitely know it all comes down to so many hours passing for enough hCG to rise for tonights test
Cheap tests are showing vvvfl’s all day, and only visible entirely in person. I believed they were just indents.
Photos are not able to show the lines clear enough to what I see in person. but I will show these too.
The 2 brands are separated in the photo. top test of each of the 2 brands were taken in morning.. and bottom tests taken in the afternoon. (I hope that made sense!)
But also the fact that the cheaper tests I have taken (easy@home and MomMed) don’t seem to be getting darker lines since this morning (which I know they are known to detect less hCG if taken too early)
this is such a crazy scenario for me!
My last 2 pregnancies, I only ever tested after my period was late, but this is the first with being pregnant from TTC so I am a lot more aware, and tracking so much more too (we have only been TTC for 2 months, I am very blessed!)
I did not expect a positive result at all on any of the tests ‘this’ soon.
My BBT and LH has also been noticeably rising over the last 2 - 3 days. And today, the LH went higher than it’s ever been, away from ovulation.
I have read and seen this being a good sign close to period, of a possible pregnancy (but i know not to rely on this at all as a pregnancy test)
I am fighting to not tell my partner yet too, until the tests are much clearer, period is expected, and there are no doubts. It is only a few days wait! (It will be a long one lol)
he is also very run down with a bad cough / cold at the moment, and I want him to feel better first.
I also wish to surprise him with the news in a much more fun / cute way, than simply telling him, and handing him the tests (that he may or may not be able to read as easily at this point in time, with the current tests I hold!)
My favourite announcement idea, which I have read about online (with my own slight twists) is to purchase an iced / sweet bun, and literally put it in the oven, and tell him to check the oven for something I have made for him 😊🥰 a literal bun in the oven) and once he gets it, I will hand him the tests 💕
