17 Days DPO- Negative Tests

Hi! We have been trying for 14 months now with no results. I'm 17 DPO, no period, but all my tests are negative. My CM is stretchy with some dark red blood swirled into it. Am I just testing too early? Usually my period comes like clockwork 14 days after ovulation so this is unusual. TIA
