READ SCREENSHOTS IN ORDER

I’m currently 6 months pregnant. My mother in law has her own responsibilities around her husband (he has had a brain tumour and forgets things every now and then). But is independent and only needs reminding to take his medication, take the dog to the garden.

I was first told by my mother in law (who has a spare room and my partners room is big enough for a cot), that she cannot have the baby in the spare room or my partners room because of her husband. I respected that (I didn’t ask why).

Then she recommended keeping the cot at her mother’s house where she has 2 spare bedrooms and then her room (she lives alone). I respected that and asked her mother and she’d said yes it’s fine.

Then she had made a big deal out of it and because me and partner said we didn’t want a travel cot since the beginning, after clarifying we cannot leave the travel cot at her mums house because there’s (no space). She had said “my mum doesn’t have space at all”

I’ve then responded to say that’s fine, we will do day visits then, as I understand she is afraid to drive on motorways and unfortunately we can’t have a cot there according to her. She turned and flipped, crying, balling her eyes out, my partner was pretty much telling me how she’s feeling and everything about her her her.

My partner then messaged me to say his mum is crying and she has broken down, she thinks she’s upset me, she has a lot going on bla bla bla.

Guys I can’t tell you how many times she has said rude/unnecessary things where my partner has messaged me to apologise on her behalf for her behaviour.
