He knows a woman there, and although rumors suggested they were an item, I know they weren't involved. After my interview, he asked how it went and suggested that I meet this woman, even proposing that we could be "besties." Initially turned off due to his past interest in someone at the workplace, I realized my insecurity was not a valid reason.

However, the fact that he brought up the idea of me and this woman being "besties" doesn't sit right with me. Am I wrong?
