Period coming back on mirena

have any of you had your period stop with mirena but then return after a year? i’ve had the mirena iud for about a year and a half now i got it inserted september of 2022 and for the first 4 months i had my period and then it went away. well this november they started coming back again and ive had a period november December and now january but the periods have been like 18 days longs which has been superrrrrr annoying… my ob was pretty confident that the iud would stop my periods altogether. it was really nice not having a period at all for the 11 months that i didn’t have one and i can handle having a normal period every month but over 2 weeks each month is making me want to get my iud removed. have any of you experienced this? and did your periods ever stop again?
