Pink and Watery period blood and painful cramps

I started my period today and it’s pink and watery and I’m having the worst cramps I had to take pain medicine and it didn’t help for awhile and then I fell asleep so fast. I’m just wondering what this mean, I’m also very nauseous I almost threw up
