Hi,

So I received the copper IUD on 1/17 and have had nonstop bleeding since. I had a pelvic ultrasound to check if it was embedded into my uterus and so far it’s placed correctly. How do you all deal with this bleeding?? It’s been like heavier than when I had my babies. I’ve heard some women bleed for months??? No way!! My mom failed to tell me she had the same effect from the IUD and had blood running down her legs at work one day and had it removed. I also now can’t do pills. I have had 2 UTI’s since October and now might have IC, with chronic bladder urgency, burning after peeing etc. so going to see a urologist soon. I’m just over all these issues from birth control. I’m not sexually active enough for it to even be worth all these risks. Have you all experienced this from pills and IUD? I am definitely not wanting any more hormones at this time.
