My baby was born preterm (32 weeks) and weighed just 1.8 kg at birth. Now, she’s 4 months old and weighs 5 kg. There are no visible abnormalities. She tracks objects, turns to sounds, makes babbling and cooing sounds and sits when resting her back. However, she doesn’t recognise my or my parents. She smiles a lot - at voices, sounds and when seeing people smile or talk. But most times, she is not recognising our voices and does not turn around, does not leap forward or get excited when looking at us. She reacts the same way with me and new people. Is this normal? I’m really afraid about her development 😕
