Our 3 year old is starting her first dance class in a couple of weeks. We don’t want to spend a lot because we’re not sure if she’ll enjoy it and stick with it (it’s only a 2 month long class). The studio isn’t great at communicating (took them a month to answer me about class offerings), so I don’t know what to have her wear for class.

Ballet slippers and a leotard with tights? Should there be a skirt of some sort over or built into the leo? Pink or black? Our oldest never danced. He’s in wrestling but we didn’t buy him wrestling shoes or a singlet. He just wears clean tennis shoes and some athletic clothes. Not sure if that would fly with the dance teacher though. This is also the first activity our daughter has had that she doesn’t have to share with her brother, so it’s a pretty special deal.

Any advice on how to dress her??
