Should I take the counter offer
I currently works as a contracted case manager making $30 an hour averaging 60 hours bi-weekly. If the clients cancel their appointments or holidays I don’t get paid so the hours can vary more or less. I also don’t get any benefits. I use my own vehicle and phone for work. Schedule is very flexible.
The new job offers salary starting at 50k working 40 hours a week. I’m on call during the weekdays and rotating weekends.
Pros of leaving: more stable pay, benefits, company car and phone, more opportunities for growth, holiday pay.
Cons of leaving: working on call, more hours/work, less flexibility in scheduling.
My current boss offered to pay for my health insurance if I stay but still no other benefits like pto.
Should I stay. She doesn’t seem like the type of person but I’m also afraid she offering me to stay to buy herself more time. What do you think? I should add my main reason for was benefits and stable pay.
