Poisoned!?
I came home from work today and made dinner for everyone (2 boys and husband). I made everyone's plates and we ate homemade chicken noodle soup. Shortly after my husband starts complaining of a headache and feeling HORRIBLE. he gets up and goes and throws up. It's really red. He thinks it's blood and starts freaking out. He's going over all the things he ate- nothing red comes to his mind. He wants to go to the ER so I say okay lets go ASAP. He starts talking through what could be wrong and he dead pan looks at me and says "did you do something to my food!?" I swear to god, did you put something in my food to kill me?" I was completely dumbfounded. Absolutely not!! We all ate from the same pot. I'm telling him NO! And he goes "yeah okay you better not have". He makes himself throw up again and it's darker and grainier looking. He freaks out again ans says it's old blood coffee ground emesis and we need to go now. (I dont think it looks that way, it just looks like brown throw up) but he is in medical school so i get the boys in the truck and drive him to the er. On the way I'm asking him again, go over EVERYTHING you ate today. He's going over it all and eventually says "wait i had a corn dog with ketchup" "but not a lot" "and that doesn't explain the dark old blood". He also had 2 redbulls, etc. he's adamant that he got food poisoning from my soup. Then he says well it could be an ulcer. The hospital is under construction and it doesn't say where the new er entrance is and i say I'm unsure where to turn and he SNAPS at me so hatefully to turn left. So I drop him off at the er entrance and me and the boys are sitting in the parking lot watching a big foot movie. I am Terrified that he is going to tell the doctors and nurses that he thinks i actually poisoned him. I would never do such a thing. And he's been complaining for days that he doesn't feel good. He literally went and got covid tested not 3 days ago. Just venting I guess.
