Advice
Hello there,
I am reaching out to seek some guidance regarding my recent experiences with contraceptive measures and concerns about my menstrual cycle.
On December 27, 2023, I took the NORLEVO Emergency contraceptive pill as a precautionary measure. Subsequently, my period, which was due around that time, got delayed and eventually occurred on January 9, 2024. However, it was accompanied by three days of spotting before my period commenced, lasting until January 17th. It was a lot of flow.
Following this, on January 25th, I engaged in sexual activity using condoms. Unfortunately, I noticed that the condom had shifted during intercourse. Although I have undertaken pregnancy tests, all results have consistently shown negative readings. Nonetheless, I am experiencing a delay in my period, which was expected to arrive on February 5th, based on my typical 21-day cycle.
Attached are screenshots of additional pregnancy tests I conducted, as early as 5 am, which have yielded negative results. Despite this, I have begun to encounter cramps without the onset of my period, prompting me to repeat the pregnancy test. Regrettably, the outcome remains consistent with previous tests, displaying only one line.
I am unsure if the effects of the emergency contraceptive pill are still influencing my menstrual cycle, or if there could be other factors at play. Your insights and advice would be greatly appreciated to help me better understand my current situation and address any potential concerns.
I look forward to your response.
