Need help asap

I have a 19year old daughter (she a good kid but can be rude in her mannerisms and quite a self entitled attitude) she has struggled her whole life to make friends and now struggles in working world to fit in. Previous self harm.

Met husband when daughter was 12. They have got along great. She views him as her dad he treats her as his own. Husband and I have a 3year old together.

He has been taking her to work (3am) every morning recently

I’m out I get a phone call couple hours ago from husband screaming and shouting at me about the 19year old. According to him he asked her a question she was rude/dismissive he lost the plot-screaming and shouting at her.

I call my daughter and ask what happened she states she was in the kitchen he asked her a question and she mumbled a one worded answer and how he then went nutty. She began crying as she went on to tell me he had said the most disgusting things to her I asked her to tell me. She says he said, she a loser with no friends, how she getting sacked at work cos no one likes her and how no one likes her etc. (she has meeting at work and told her contract may not be getting renewed due to concerns they have)

This broke my heart.

I called him he still screaming and shouting I ask him if he told my child she was a loser and no one liked her.

Long story short he basically said yes he did say some of those things but not in the way she says (how that works I don’t know).

I went nutty and told him how he the adult/parent figure and its disgusting, unacceptable etc he believes he shouldn’t be spoken to the way she does etc but agreed he went over the top and shouldn’t say them things

My 19year old tells me she doesn’t want to stay here no more as he was very intimidating.

He messaged her an apology (not how I would of as he still stated in this message he was telling her home truths 😳)

She responded rudely (which I don’t actually blame her considering) and told him you not my dad and how he acted was pathetic for his age etc

What am I supposed to do now
