Married at the courthouse

Anyone here get married at the courthouse ??

I’ve never thought about doing that before. I always thought I’d have the pretty white dress and have a wedding.

However, my bf asked if I would just get married at the court house and then go on a 2 -3week honey moon.

I’m actually thinking about it. I don’t have a lot of people in my life to come to the wedding anyway. It’s expensive. I’m shy af and would have anxiety about talking in front of everyone.

I just don’t know if it’s embarrassing to get married that way?? Idk if my family would be mad at me for not having a proper wedding.

If you just got married at the courthouse, what was your experience? Did you like it ? Do you regret not having a regular wedding ?
