Hi! I’m mostly writing this in hopes that people will make me feel better and less worried about this. For reference I got my nexplanon inserted nearly a year ago (11 months as of two days ago) and for the first few to 8-9 months my period completely went away and i barely had any spotting. so that had already threw me off because EVEN THOUGH we legit were using condoms (my partner and i), i still had some scares here and there that i got pregnant just because i kept missing my period. eventually i got used to it and i was like yay no more periods. around the 9 month mark (i think) i started getting them again. just back to my normal periods. well about a week ago my partner and i had unprotected sex. we started this only a little while ago and everytime after i’ve gotten my period so i was like phew 😪 BUT OF COURSE this time i haven’t gotten it. my period is late by about 6 days now. i’ve already taken a pregnancy test and it said negative and im debating taking another but it’s late at night so im not sure how accurate it will be. i will try to take one tmrw morning. the thing is im not feeling any symptoms at all. the most would be cravings for sweets and salty things but they’re not even that harsh of cravings. i know my period is gonna be a bit unpredictable while on this form of BC but i had already gotten used to having my period again so now that it’s late right after having sex worries me. i discussed with my partner and we’re gonna go back to using condom + BC for my peace of mind and because i don’t want to be reckless since i know it isn’t 100%. any advice?
