Anyone familiar with the parole process in TX?

My Brother was sentenced to 2 years in prison for a non-aggravated crime. No prior criminal history. He also had primary custody of his 3 young boys prior to his arrest and had the same job for 17 years. My family and I have wrote letters in support of his parole. He was eligible for parole on 2/12/2024. It states he is currently in the parole review process but has not been reviewed for parole. If anyone has any insight or experience with this I would appreciate some guidance.
