Going blind and finding a job

I’ve made a few posts before about being blind in one eye and starting to lose vision in the other. I was wondering if I’d still be able to get any type of job if I go completely blind? My SO has made a comment before about me never being anything in life because I’m a SAHM and haven’t had a job in 10 years. we have two kids together. (7 y.o and 2 y.o) I plan on getting a job once my youngest starts school. But I’m scared I won’t get one if I’m blind. Im scared I won’t have the chance to prove my SO wrong about being nothing. We can’t afford daycare and we don’t trust anyone to watch our youngest.

ETA: I’ve been wanting to get a job to help provide for our family. We have been in extremely tough spots for awhile now. Always negative in the bank and not being able to pay rent and bills. But it’s just not ideal for me to get a job at the moment because we have one vehicle and we can’t afford childcare. 😕 I know most everyone is going through tough times as well so I’m sure many understand..

I’m just really hurt that he thinks so lowly of me. Even though he knows I have plans to better our future. Even if it’s a few years down the road until I can start doing something for us.
