TSH to high?

Anyone being treated for thyroid with a TSH of 4.1 or less? I’ve been reading studies that it should be under 2.5 when TTC but my GP says my value is in the high normal range and not treatable. I’m going to consult OB also, but was hoping someone here may have some insight.

Thyroid is very important. Do you have a thyroid condition? If you don’t have a thyroid condition it may be okay, but having hypothyroidism my dr wants me below 2.0 when TTC. If you do conceive I would stress a TSH blood check within the first week or two of getting a positive pregnancy test. Take it up with your OB if you GP isn’t listening. I had a miscarriage because my TSH spiked and I was not aware to check it with my condition. It’s good that you’re taking notice now, that’s what matters.

Mine was 3.2 and my fertility doctor put me on.thyroxine for 3 months and she refused to do any transfer before it was under 2.5. Accorfing to their studies the chance of miscarriage increases in.first 3 months of pregnancy as the baby thyroid starts working after the 12th week so both of you rely on.yours but if it is not making enough for you it wont work for 2. My GP absolutely ignored my concerns even.thoug i already had 5 miscarriages at that point. GPs have another health guidelines than the obgns and reproductive endocrinologist. My GP went on.to.argue that overdose of levothyroxine causes heart damage and i could never get one on.25 mgs. It was a silly argument. Your best bet is to go private with reproductive endocrinologist and get 3 month prescription. I live in.the UK if you live in.USA might be different.

Quick update, I went to OB/GYN today and my doctor immediately prescribed meds. She said we need to aim for 2.5 or lower so we will retest in 4 weeks to see if the lowest dose is strong enough to get us there and adjust if not. Anyone struggle to conceive have a better outcome after thyroid meds?

I was lied to by doctors for soo long. With prayer & the protocol she put me on.. In a matter of months I felt soo much better, my anxiety attacks where gone and we were pregnant. This is just a snippet of what God has blessed her to do. She's on fb & instagram.
