How will I know when I ovulated based on opks?

Ok, so I know when a surge happens it indicates ovulation, but how many days will I test high/peak until I know I’ve possibly ovulated? We did it yesterday around 2am and today around 2pm. Are we timing this right?

How long high LH lasts doesn’t matter. Your body signals for ovulation after that first initial surge. Basically ovulation happens 24-48 hours after that first positive opk, or about 12-24 hours after your “peak” opk. So once that LH starts to rise and you get a positive, it’s time to start to bd. It’s not uncommon for some women’s LH to stay high for a few days, but only that first initial rise is what you need to track. I hope that makes sense and helps. Good luck love 💕

You have to take your first positive OPK as a reference. So in this cycle you had your first positive on 2/23, meaning that you most probably ovulated on 2/24 or 2/25. After your first positive, you don’t really need to keep testing anymore (that will save you some money too). Good luck!

The only one that matters is your first positive opk. It looks like you had a positive on cd12. After your first positive opk you should ovulate within 12 to 48 hours regardless of the length of the surge.
