When to say i love you?

Question

Men and women...how long is too long to wait for i love you?surely if they dont say it within a certain timeframe then the liklihood.is that they dont love you?

There is no timeframe. Every relationship is different. And you don’t have to wait for him to say it, you can also tell him if you feel that way

There's no right or wrong time, every relationship is different and everybody falls in love at a different pace. A person could love you for a long time but not say it because they don't know if you feel the same way or how  you'll react if they say it; especially if they say it in outside of the time frame you find to be acceptable.

There is no right answer here. Some people don't say 'I love you' in words, but they will show you they love you with their actions.
If you're talking about the first 'I love you', it differs from person to person (ie., there are people who are generally not comfortable saying those words), but it also differs from one relationship to another.
For example, I've had relationships in which I fell in love almost instantly, I also had relationships where love was something that grew slower, but it was more intense. My husband was the latter, yet my love for him can't compare to the love I had for my ex, where I fell in love instantly.
A conclusion: I wouldn't break up with someone if they didn't say the words within some 'timeline'. I would break the relationship if their actions showed me that they're not interested.
I think we all fall in love at various paces.

I told my partner i loved him a while before he said it haha. At the time i was very self conscious about it. However we've now been together almost 5 years, have a baby and are getting married this year. Some people just take longer to find the words :)

I wouldn’t necessarily say that if he doesn’t say “I love you” within a certain timeframe that he doesn’t love you. It took my husband forever to say it, but he was burnt so badly in the past, he didn’t want to say it until he was absolutely sure (been together 21 years!). Some people need a bit longer to say it, but it doesn’t mean that deep down inside they don’t love you. I always felt incredibly loved by my hubby when we were dating - even well before he told me so.

Some people take longer than others, some people fall straight away in love some don’t. Me and my husband was maybe a week into dating but it worked for us since we’ve been together for 10 years

I think everyone is different. My husband and I said it a week into our relationship (he said it first) and I had never said it that early before in previous relationships. But then again, we decided to move in together within two weeks and have now been together 12 years.

I think I kind of get what youre saying. Example I dated a guy for almost a year and neither of us said it. We got along great and no fights etc but it started to become apparent at that point that we just werent going to be moving forward towards a permanent relationship, something was just missing. With my husband I cant remember the exact  timeframe but it wasnt very long until he said it and also asked for exclusivity. I dont think theres a cut off or anything, but after some time you should kind of get a sense. And I personally never would say it first. Call me old fashioned. But I think women tend to have a more natural inclination towards committment, and I dont want a passive lazy lion type of guy, therefore I believe relationship advances should be made by him (most of the date initiation, saying it first, proposing etc).
