Crib bumpers

Question

Is anyone using crib bumpers? Im indecisive about getting crib bumbers. Im aware it can cause suffocation but ive seen some videos of people using them. What are your thoughts?

Don’t need them girl. Honestly this second time around there’s ALOT you really don’t need. Like a whole nursery for a baby that’s gonna sleep in your room until how long and all the other bs. Diapers, wipes, onesies the essentials. Don’t stress!

Absolutely no bummers ever. Just because someone else uses them doesn’t mean it is safe.

We never used them. My now toddler absolutely slams into the side of his crib in his sleep and it doesn’t bother him one bit haha. He seems to prefer to sleep with his head touching the side. Idk. Toddlers are wild. 
But yeah, it’s a safety thing. Never seemed worth the risk.

Definitely not and not need nor safe but you can definitely get crib bedding to use in other ways if you want like for tummy time. It’s just my opinion though

I say if you want them for style get them and use them on the outside of the crib topward top or bottom, however if you want them for safety like preventing their hands or feet from going in between bars, it’s not the best or safest choice just because it raises risk factors for suffocation but ultimately is still okay to use it’s just a higher chance of something happening not a guarantee. Your instincts will speak to you at the end of the day so I say follow your instincts and trust your decisions.
