Do.you think this man was lazy?

So there was a guy i was interested in at work but he left suddenly. Prior he told me this was his first real job and he hadnt worked in 7 yrs as he had his own business ...well after maybe a week he just quit. I asked a coworker what hes doing now he said instacart.. we worked warehouse. Is that odd/fishy or a red flag?@Tommi: I was getting to know this man. Nothing happened we didnt even date. I had to get to know him to find all this stuff out. You came out the gate just being accusatory. I dont even see this guy anymore. I intially liked him because he seemed nice. Calm down. @Pluto: yeah. True this line of work isnt for everyone but still. Just odd he hasnt had a regular job for 7yrs but idk. Edit: i.ended.up finding out he was marrie. He lied and his son had to tell me the truth. Crazy this man was married but he kept asking me to go to the gym with him@Kim: how am I weird for simply vetting and wanting to know more?? A 7yr gap is alot. Cmon now. Anyway he turned out to be married and lied through his teeth about that. Wonder if he did about his business but yall know so much.

I feel like more context is needed. 
Running a business is work.. maybe he didn’t like the job? I agree about listening to your gut if you have a bad feeling, but I don’t know if I’d say red flag or jump to laziness.

If he had his own business then he was working. I find it weird af that you’re so concerned about his work situation that you’re posting about him on a  period app. Warehouse work sucks. If he can Instacart, make his schedule, & still pay his bills just don’t blame him for quitting

Running a business is a job. However, he may be the type of person who needs to work for himself or freelance, and doesn't want do a normal job for whatever reason. Personally, I would see that as a red flag. Only because of my own personal experience with this type of person. On the other hand, this is only his first job in the actual workforce, and maybe he just hasn't found the right job for him yet. Instacart is a job too. So it's not like he isn't trying to work. He probably just hated the warehouse job. ￼

There are a multitude reasons for why someone has a gap in their resume. If he was running his own business, and making enough to cover expenses, then there is your reason.
