Reason(s) for labeled as high risk
This is my 3rd pregnancy, I'm 24 weeks along with a baby boy.
I've never been high risk before, I've never had preeclampsia, gestational diabetes or any miscarriages.
I was told I'm high risk because I'm overweight and have high cholesterol.
I'm 5'7" currently at 217lbs, pre pregnancy I weighed 195lbs.
Funny thing is my doctor told me it's just a formality and not to worry about it because of my weight I'm automatically put into the category of high risk in the system.
My anatomy scans show my baby is growing correctly and the right size for how far along I am.
I'm not saying my doctor is wrong, but just seems weird to me for what seems like simple issues that can be fixed by me watching what I eat.
Does anybody else have these reasons?? I'm just curious as to what you all may think about it.
