Braxton hicks or start of labor?

Hey everyone I’m 37 weeks and 4 maybe 5 days I had an OB appointment yesterday and they had to check me and I was 1 CM and last night I couldn’t even turn over or get up or get comfortable without having a Braxton hicks. I haven’t had one this morning so far my stomach is just aching from I guess tightening up so much last night. I’m really just trying to make it to Tuesday morning since that’s when I’m supposed to get induced and my hospital is two hours away. Do yall think it was just some Braxton hicks bc my OB checked me or do yall think it could just be the start of labor?? This is my third pregnancy. With my first baby when I went into labor it happened so fast I was 1 cm and then next day boom I was in active labor and had her two days later , with my second baby i lost her at 21 weeks due to her having multiple problems. With this pregnancy we haven’t had any problems other than him having the same heart defect as my first baby and him being small. I also have a heart shaped uterus which is another reason I’m getting induced Tuesday. I just need some help or relief that it was just Braxton hicks from being checked I really hope to make it to Tuesday morning at least

Don’t take for granted the period cramps. I just had my 3rd baby a couple days ago and almost gave birth in the car. I only had 2 hours of painful contractions and period cramps for days prior to that. I posted my birth story in this group a few days ago if you want to read my symptoms. Play it safe with your hospital so far. I would leave at the very first even uncomfortable contraction not even painful just uncomfortable. Or go get checked if you can !!! My midwife warned me not to take for granted the period like cramps because she said I was in early labor and they were causing dilation. I think when pain hit I was already in transition. Everything before transition was not painful at all and I questioned it for hours.

It’s possible it’s just Braxton hicks but best way to rule it out is change positions, take a bath, drink water, use the bathroom. If they continue after all of that I’d start timing them. I went into labor and had my third yesterday at 38 weeks and 3 days. I had straight back labor and kept assuming it wasn’t the real thing but you never know!

Cervical checks can cause contractions and cramping and bleeding . Also don’t know if that’s all they did or if they did a membrane sweep while they were down there and Didn’t tell you. But that’s normal for a lot of women after a check because it’s irritating the cervix and uterus and gestational sack.

I’m 35 weeks and getting hit with an insane amount of Braxton hicks. Super achy and baby went lower! Could just be things getting ready. That’s what it feels like for me. Woke up today feeling icky

It sounds like Braxton hicks to me. Increase your water intake and it should help calm them down a bit
