From SAHM to working mom!

Jasmine

So I've been blessed with the ability to stay at home with my son for the last 2 years💕 ever since i turned 16 i stayed with a job, so it was such a blessing to be able to stay at home with my baby in the most dependable yrs in his life. Now that hes becoming more independent and accustomed to a routine, ill be saying goodbye to my stay at home mom life and heading back to work. Itll be all extra money for me to save and spend on what i need, im ready to have that financial freedom again.

But im wondering how many hours should i work to keep myself from being overwhelmed and coming home to start my second job as a mommy. I was hired in a great company, part time. However, after my interview ended she said id be working 8-3 tues-saturday. To me that sounds like more full time.. being that i am part time hire i wont be eligible for benefits either. what do you guys think? Am i taking on more than i can handle? Especially with the gap in employment. Ive always worked full time and well over 35 hours, but never had to do anything after work. Like dinner, bathtime, bedtime, etc. I applied for part time that way i was able to ease my way back into a work/life routine. Should i give my new manager a call and request that i work no more than 30hrs a week? What would you do? Thanks!
