Can someone explain?

My period is 4 days late, don’t have any pregnancy tests strips until it gets delivered tomorrow but had a bunch of opk’s left and decided to just take one and it came out positive? Why is that? Can opk’s even pick up HCG? Am I able to ovulate AGAIN? I’m so confused!! 😭

Opks can confuse LH and hcg because they’re molecularly similar. However, a positive opk can’t be used as a pregnancy test. LH can surge again before a period, you could’ve failed to ovulate and are now trying, or you’re pregnant! But the only way to know if you’re pregnant is by taking a pregnancy test
