I have been watching a few children out of my home for about 2 years now. These 2 school age children I have in the mornings for the bus. They are not very disciplined and fight quite a lot… well today the youngest child (7) arrived and told me how he got just the thing to beat up my daughter (she is 18 months). I’m thinking he’s going to pull out a toy because he brings toys sometimes. He took out a gun shaped pocket knife and pointed it at my daughter. I then realized what it was and took it from him. I told him he doesn’t bring knives to my home and he can’t take that to school. I contacted his father and he told me he was unaware he brought it. I’m honestly still shocked this happened and my husband is very angry. I have dealt with these 2 children for over a year now and they are constantly hitting each other/name call and call my kids names but have never laid their hands on my children. They have threatened my children if one is crying (because they say they’re annoying cry babies). I feel like I don’t want them in my house anymore after this… I’m just looking for advice and wondering if I’m overreacting or if someone else were in my place what they would do.
