Dear moms,

My 8 week old is refusing eye contact always. He keeps changing his eyes, as if he is trying to avoid eye contact. He has not smiled socially, yet. He smiles in his sleep. But, not when he sees me. He doesn't recognize my sound. He doesn't move his head in response to any sound( rattle)

He moves his hands repeatedly in a very stiff way, sometimes hits his own face; yet continues this movement always - always ,! Imagine painting a wall slightly away from your face while lying down...

The only 2 developments that I saw are:- he tilts his head and follows objects left to right ( not actively). He startles during sleep when there is a loud noise.

I am worried when everyone says social smiling at this time, is a huge milestone. Without disrespecting , is my baby normal (?)
