Do you get HIV testing done regularly?

Every time I do STD testing I tell them to give me a full panel including HIV. They always make it seem like it’s weird and confirm over and over again that I’m sure I want that test done. Today I went in to get my labs done and the lady said in the waiting room in front of everyone “are you sure you want all the tests listed here from the doctor?” And I said yes and she said “are you sure? Even the HIV test?” I was so embarrassed. But now I’m thinking maybe people are just not getting this test done? I get it done annually
