Who’s in the wrong here?

Sophie

My family has been extremely sick for the past week with fevers reaching up to 104. I have a 4 month old who is vulnerable in this situation. I put my son in his swing and my sister ( who had been sick this week) comes up to say hi to my child and starts to speak a breathy Spanish to him. I urgently ask “ ARE YOU SICK?” Followed by “ IF YOU ARE SICK GET OUT OF HIS FACE” then my sister turns to me and says “ watch your mouth before I slap you” followed by her insulting my baby’s father and I calling us bums and stupid.

Now the rest of my family is on my back saying I was rude and aggressive and that I deserve my sisters reaction, when I was just protecting my child. It’s common sense I feel to not go near babies if you are or recently sick, was I aggressive. I understand I came off rude but my son’s safety is number 1 . Did I deserve to get threatened and insulted?
