My husband and I were really loving the name Elsie until I started researching online and seeing several people say it’s a cow’s name. I know it’s ultimately up to what we like but I also don’t want her getting made fun of, so here’s a survey. Is Elsie a cow name?

lol I grown up with cows and absolutely never heard a cow being called Elsie. Now Barney is a different story Barney is what we call a bull. Sheila is what we would call a cow

I prefer mabel and don't care if it's a cows name. It's adorable!  As far as E names i do feel like there's so many cute ones to choose from.

It's a common pet name in general, my dog was originally named Elsie when we adopted her and changed it to Daisy.
A lot of pet names are people names too. If you like the name Elsie, use it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Who cares if some random cow or dog or cat also has the same name?
