FET cycle… can anyone run me through this?

Hi ladies,
I’m doing an egg retrieval and then I will be doing PGT-A testing so I know it will be a few weeks before I do a frozen egg transfer.
What’s the cycle monitoring like?
Any idea on what day of cycle that the egg is transferred? This is such a long process!

I think it depends what your specialist decides to do in terms of protocol. As an example I’ve had lots of different ones including this most recent one which was a natural FET. They just monitored me for ovulation and lining check ie. follicle scan at CD10) then gave me a trigger to ovulate. No hormones in the first part of the cycle. But then I just took progesterone suppositories after ovulation and they transferred my embryo 5 days later. I’ve had other cycles where I’m estrogen priming in the first part of the cycle. It really depends on your protocol!

Your period may start before PGT results are in so you doctor could offer birth control to put things on hold. Once you’re good to go you start with estrogen until your lining is nice and thick, so the timing can vary from person to person. Approximately 2 weeks but it could be less. Then 5 full days of progesterone injections and then transfer day. Somewhere between cycle day 15-21 is my guess! Also this is just how my doctor does it. Good luck.
