Birth control cramps?

Can birth control (the pill) cause cramps when you’re not on your “period”? I’m about 11 weeks PP and I started taking birth control at 6 weeks. I waited to have sex until the birth control was effective (7 days). I’m on month 2, just started the 2nd week of pills and I’m having cramps! But they feel like the cramps you get at the beginning of pregnancy 😭 so please tell me birth control can cause cramps? 😭

I have taken birth control in the past and don’t ever remember having cramps when not bleeding.
