Make up or break up

My boyfriend seems to believe that I have to give him attention and let him speak 24/7. However, whenever I try to state my own opinion or even tell him that I had a fun weekend he gets upset and tries to hit me where it hurts. He is a true gentleman but it makes me uncomfortable when he gaslights me and tries to make me feel like I’m the one that is crazy. What do you think? Is it fixable or is it too much of a dealbreaker? Can I even actually change him?
